1936 RARE ART DECO CATS MEDAL PLAQUE by THENOT BRONZE LIONS
1936 " LIONS ", art medal, 80x48mm 135g approx, in metal, by Thenot, in very fine condition as scanned, some nicks on rim, edge marked. With horn (Paris mint), two holes on bottom rim for possible stand setup. References : CGMP p373 Vol3, Metal 1990/A p63.
Maurice THENOT, French sculptor and medallist who died in 1963, pupil of Patey, received a médaille d'argent at the Salon des Artistes français in 1936.
