Vintage Art Deco 14k Yellow Gold Cat's Eye Chrysoberyl Emerald Flower Shape Ring. Vintage circa 1940 Art Deco 14k Yellow Gold Cat's Eye Chrysoberyl Emerald Flower Shape Ring. This unique ring has a beautiful grayish blue cabochon cat's eye Chrysoberyl in the center of the ring measuring 10mm diameter. It has a strong eye and when you turn it in the light the eye opens and closes. Around the Chrysoberyl are 14 emeralds giving the ring a flower like design.

The emeralds are nice color and have total weight of 1 carat. The ring weighs 11.1 grams. The interior of the ring is marked 14k 585. The Cats Eye, a semi transparent stone of the Chrysoberyl family has a distinct ray of light running across it, which has been compared to a drop of water enclosing a beam of light. It is most commonly translucent, of a milky-white color, but is also found in shades of yellow, red and brown.
