Vintage English Sterling Silver Enamel Felix The Cat Cartoon Character Charm. This is a wonderful and scarce charm which depicts Felix the Cat, a beloved cartoon character created during the silent film era (1919). The character gained enormous popularity in the 1920s and 30s, and was marketed in many products, from jewelry items to the fabulous clock with moving tail and eyes.

The charm, which dates from around c. 1930s to 50s, is in superb condition, with only a tiny bit of enamel loss to the tips of the cat's ears. There is a surface scratch to the right arm, but not very noticeable. It was made with a slight curvature, rather than completely flat.

It measures 3/4" wide by 15/16" tall, and is stamped STERLING SILVER to the reverse. The eyes are enameled in bright green. The rendering of the character is brilliant, with an animated feel.

This is an amazing charm, and a very scarce one to find!
