A handsome pair of antique bronzed Arts and Crafts bookends by the Decorative Arts League, 1925. The Decorative Arts League formed around commercializing the Arts & Crafts Movement, focusing on accessories and furniture. Fascinating ads were printed in modern living magazines with coupons that allowed a householder to order COD the latest mode of lamp (for three dollars, fifty cents), small bookcase or, here, cast bronzed bookends. True artists created artisanal product lines. This pair, from a noted Dallas estate library, is the D.

"Cat" bookends, now extremely collectible. Copyrighted 1925, these are in wonderful condition, original patinated finish. If there was a felt bottom, it is gone. About 4"x 4", 2 deep. Perfect gift for any Craftsman bungalow re-do, book lover, cat enthusiast, collector.
