1936 RARE ART DECO CATS MEDAL PLAQUE by THENOT BRONZE LIONS
1936 Rare Art Deco Cats Medal Plaque by Thenot Bronze Lions Art table medal. Measures: 80x48mm×3mm, weighs: 4.9 oz. Bronze Relief by Thenot, depicting a lioness and lion in grassy foliage. A fabulous patina has developed in oil slick/ rainbow tones.
Created by artist Maurice Thenot, French sculptor and medallist who died in 1963, pupil of Patey, received a médaille d'argent at the Salon des Artistes français in 1936.
