HUNTERS Art Deco style painting reduced
Acrylic on Canvas h 18" x w 48". Once again trying my hand at Art Deco styled painting, I put together this fantasy of nature. About the artist: I have been trained by a family of artists and artisans. Three generations of art have been my heritage. My style has developed over time to be, I believe, recognizable as my own.
My influences are color, faces, art circa 1933, movie palace decor and 1930's movie advertising art. I would, in particular, note influence by Art Deco muralist Charles Stafford Duncan (Paramount Theatre, Oakland CA) for his dramatic use of black and The Freed Unit at MGM for their dramatic use of Technicolor. Chicago IL, Denver CO, Raleigh NC, Louisville KY.
