Rare Vintage Porcelain Cute Cat Figure Goebel Germany 1955-75 Ceramic Art Decor #Ru52. This is a lovely item to own or to give as a special gift. In 1890 Julius Griesbach founded a porcelain manufactory in Cortendorf (now part of the city of Coburg). The factory used many different materials, several types of porcelain.

Wall masks were produced between 1955 and 1960, causing a stir in Germany. All own production ended after the factory passed into the hands of the famous Goebel manufactory in 1973, and now the products have a double Goebel-Cortendorf brand name. The figurine is in excellent, undamaged condition.
